Ye generic j-pole antenna diagram. Feedpoint impedance can be
changed my moving the flexible wires up or down the 1/4 wave section.
If you look at the diagram it looks like you are
shunt feeding the 1/4 wave "element" and it somehow excites the 3/4
wave
element. But that's not what's going on. Noop.
